Production of a stent (2) crimped on a coated catheter, comprises (a) providing a catheter, (b) providing a stent, (c) coating the catheter on the surface, which is in contact with the luminal surface of the stent, with a polymer or with a mixture of polymer and one or more active substances and (d) positioning and crimping the stent on the surface of the catheter, which is partially coated with the polymer or the mixture of step (c). Independent claims are included for: (1) a medicine product containing a catheter, a polymer layer containing polymer or a mixture of polymer and one or more active substances, which are in contact with the surface of the catheter, and a stent, which is crimped on the coated catheter and contacted with the polymer or the mixture, produced by the above method; and (2) a kit comprising one or more catheters coated with a polymer or with a mixture of polymer and one or more active substances, where the layer is formed in such a way that it is contacted with the luminal surface of a stent crimped on the catheter and one or more stents.
