The method involves positioning solar cells on a displaceable mold table (5), according to a location provided in a solar module, and fixing the cells by low-pressure. The cells are coated with flowable plastic i.e. polyolefin plastisol, by curtain coating or a coating knife. An outer protective cover is arranged on the cells in an arch-shaped and bubble-free manner by sticking. The flowable plastic is coated on a rear side of the solar cells by the curtain coating or the coating knife, and an inner plastic layer is hardened under thermal effect after applying an inner protective cover. An independent claim is also included for a system for producing a solar module, comprising a casting device.
