The arrangement has a motor (1) and a frequency converter (2) connected with each other over a power supply line and a signal feed line, such that the converter supplies electricity to the motor over the power supply line and the motor transmits data such as speed and temperature of a drive to the converter over the signal feed line. Temperature sensors (9-11) provide temperature signals, which are guided to a multiplexer (12) in the motor, where the multiplexer provides the signals to the converter over pins of signal plug connectors (6, 14) provided for the temperature of the drive. An independent claim is also included for a method for monitoring a temperature of a winding of a motor.
