The method involves achieving volumes of holding elements (11, 12) e.g. holding cushion, in a transport position by a natural equilibrium condition of active forces. The volumes of the holding elements are actively reduced for achieving a loading position, where the holding elements secure an object (13) e.g. rotor blade, in the transport position and make loading and unloading of the object in the loading position. The holding elements are evacuated for achieving the loading position. Vacuum is removed based on the loading position for achieving the transport position.
