The fitting has an anchor plate (12) including a fastening eye (14) for connection at a seat belt system and another fastening eye for connection at a component (19) that is fixed to a motor vehicle. An attachment plate (24) separated from the anchor plate has an attachment structure at a side of the anchor plate and another attachment structure at a side of the vehicle. The attachment plate prevents rotation of the anchor plate against the component in an assembled condition.
