The metal element (1) has upper and lower sides (20, 21) of a bar (13) forming two uniform surface areas (16, 17) of the metal element processed opposite and parallel with each other. Upper and lower boundary panels (18, 19) of the metal element are formed by the upper and lower sides of the bar, respectively. The bar includes material areas (9) of the metal element that are pulled apart within the area between boundary planes and in a direction parallel to the boundary planes. Sections (3, 5, 7) without an opening (12) connects sections (4, 6) with the opening. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a metal element.
