The tightener has a hollow body (1) with an outer casing corresponding to a circular cylinder. The hollow body is cold-reinforcely and force-laminatedly designed such that a ratio of outer diameter (D) of the hollow body to wall thickness (d) in an axially middle region of the hollow body is larger than 41 or larger than 45. The axial length of the hollow body ranges between 0.5 and 3 meters. The tightener is made of steel.
