The chain has multiple chain units (1) arranged one behind the other, and connected together via chain side bars (2). The chain units are supported on rollers (4), which are partially designed as flanged rollers (4') and arranged on an axle (5), which are guided via boreholes in a carrying element (3). The flanged rollers are designed with flanges on both sides. The flanged rollers are attached to the chain units in pairs. Five of the chain units are arranged without the flanged rollers between two chain units designed with the flanged rollers.
