The device (2) has a drive-unit (9) and a force-transmission unit (10) formed so that two stopping-elements (31) for transmission of actuating forces lie and arranged on two stopping-elements (39) along force-transmission directions (29, 30) against the stopping-elements (39). The stopping-elements (31) are arranged at a distance from the associated stopping-elements (39) for uncoupling the drive unit from the force-transmission unit along the directions. A synchronization element (42) is shifted relative to housing (12) such that force balance between actuating-elements (34, 35) is adjusted. An independent claim is also included for a method for actuating a body component of a vehicle.
