The device has a cable line (2) provided with a cable tape binding (1). The tape binding is retained at the cable line using clamping elements (3, 3a) so that an initial free end (4) of the tape binding is guided around the cable line and the cable line is completely wrapped in a region of the tape binding. The clamping elements are detachable connected with the cable line. The clamping elements exhibit a clamping plate, which is adapted to a cross sectional geometry of a side bar (6) of the cable line. The clamping elements exhibit a handle for positioning the clamping elements. An independent claim is also included for a method for fire protection-technique insulation of a cable line.
