The device has a chiller and temperature sensors (TRVL, TRRL) measuring supplying and/or return temperature of a cooling and/or heating circuit in a building. An evaporator supplies a coolant to an outlet, and a generator has a supply (TCG) for a heating medium. An absorber and a condenser are formed as rear cooling components, where the coolant is conveyed from an outlet to a coolant-supply without an intermediate circuit of a mixer temperature reduction. The rear cooling capacity of the components is controlled such that a supply temperature of the coolant correlates to a preset temperature.
