The method involves obtaining a transaction code from data to be transmitted for data communication of a data processing mechanism (1) to a data processing mechanism (2). Data values are determined from the data, where the data values are numbers and/or are assigned to the numbers. Transaction symbols of the code are obtained from a symbol matrix, such that indices are changed in the symbol matrix depending on respective number values of the numbers of the determined data values. Electronic data communication of the mechanism (1) is associated to the mechanism (2) with the code. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for performing on-line banking (2) a data processing system comprising a data processing mechanism for electronic transmission of data of a data processing mechanism to another data processing mechanism.
