The distribution unit (1) has an accumulation device (2) for accumulation and release of a predetermined amount of tobacco (200). The device accumulation receives the tobacco from a carding roller (109) of a cigarette packing machine and releases the received tobacco upon reaching the predetermined amount. A vibrating transport devices (3) provided below the device are used for accumulation and release of the tobacco from the transport devices and for transporting the tobacco to throw devices (105) of the packing machine, while maintaining uniformity of tobacco amount during the transport.
