The collision detector has a reinforcing part (1), which is arranged on a base of a vehicle and extends in a lateral direction of the vehicle. A chamber (2) is arranged in front of the reinforcing part and extends in a lateral direction of the vehicle. The chamber forms a chamber cavity with a beam or bar shape. An additional cavity has a volume, which is equal to the volume of a cylinder (21).
