A suspension-type robot includes pillars, outer-end brackets, and a slide rail mounted between the outer ends of the brackets, and a robot body. Each of the support arms has at the outer end a U-shaped cut-out portion which forms a U-shaped opening and a U-shaped upper surface surrounding the U-shaped opening. The running rail has a fixing portion which includes a first cylinder part and a second cylinder part. The first cylinder part is inserted into the U-shaped cut-out part. The second cylinder part is located on the first cylinder part in abutment with the U-shaped surface and is larger in diameter than the first cylinder part. The first cylinder part is inserted deep in the U-shaped cut-out portion, and both sides of the U-shaped opening of the U-shaped cut-out portion protrude from the projection plane of the second cylinder portion.
