Agent comprises a material composition, in which the frequency of a naturally occurring radionuclide is changed. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for the preparation of the agent comprising depleting at least one naturally occurring radionuclide by isotope fractionation or exchange process; (2) a plant or animal, whose frequency is changed according to the natural occurring radionuclide; (3) a device for breeding the plant, comprising a partially enclosed space to accommodate the plant, a gas supply for the initiation of carbon dioxide-containing gas that surrounds the plant, and an incinerator for the production of carbon dioxide from a fossil fuel; (4) use of plant or animal to produce the agent; (5) a food composition and/or feeding stuff for the modulation of the natural radioactivity of a living body, where the food or feed has a very low or very high natural radioactivity; and (6) a method for the modulation of the natural radioactivity of a living body comprising using the agent or a combination of food and/or feeding stuff.
