SYSTEM AND PROCEDURES FOR THE TRANSFER OF CROSS-BORDERS IN A JOINT LEGAL AND CONTRACTED TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK

There is provided a system for functional addressing and location dependent addressing of short messages in a mixed wireless and wireline telecommunication network, comprising a first network node for receiving a subscriber originated incoming event and for determining whether or not the subscriber originated incoming event is a short message, a second network node for, responsive to the first network node determining that the incoming event is a short message, receiving the short message and converting it to a voice or data communication and first means for receiving the converted short message, for determining whether or not the converted short message contains a functional number and for determining, if the converted short message contains a functional number, whether or not the functional number contained within the converted short message corresponds to a functional number contained within a first database storing predetermined functional numbers in connection with respective call numbers associated with respective fixed subscribers of the mixed wireless and wireline telecommunication network and for replacing the functional number contained within the converted short message by a respective call number associated with a respective fixed subscriber if it is determined that the functional number contained within the converted short message corresponds to a functional number contained within the first database. Furthermore, there is provided a corresponding method.
