The device has U shaped movable thin bent detection rods (1) actuating a magnetic switch (5) and detecting a passage of a mail by an opening in a mailbox without integrated to a shutter. A movement detector (4) detects the opening of a door of the mailbox for introduction of parcels in the mailbox. A luminescent lamp is used for signaling presence of the mail in the mailbox, and displays information. A micro-controller (21) permits to flash the lamp. A compartment for batteries is located at back of the mailbox.
