The bush (D) has a screw head (TV) with transverse wings (AT1), where the bush is made of plastic material. A terminal part (PT1) has tabs (PP1, PP2) at border of an end surface (FE), where each tab has a lateral part in which housing (LO) is defined. A selected part (PE) of the wing is engaged in the housing so as to be retained and supported against an edge surface (FB) in a screwing position. The part (PT1) has a central part housing a pin mounted under elastic stress so as to bulge across the end surface between the tabs to push a central part of the head and to immobilize the part (PE). An independent claim is also included for a method for screwing a transverse wing screw using a bush.
