The system has recording units (22) for recording an incoming image in one buffer among video image buffers (16, 18, 20). Reading units (24) read an outgoing image in a current buffer among the buffers in synchronization with an output clock signal for transmitting the outgoing image towards an output. Pointing units (26) point the reading units for controlling reading of following outgoing image in the following buffer successively in each buffer following an order if the following buffer is not used for recording the incoming image and is other than the current buffer. An independent claim is also included for a method for processing video signal.
