The door has an exterior panel (10) opened at a level of a side window of a vehicle, and a plane door liner opened at the level of the side window and a parcel tray. A door frame is fixed between the exterior panel and the door liner. An upper hinge (81) and a lower hinge (82) connect the door to a body shell of the vehicle, and an exterior peripheral joint (70) covers periphery of the exterior panel. The door frame includes a rectangular tubular shape (42) with a vertical section near the hinges. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a door of a vehicle.
