Hip prosthesis i.e. arthroplasty prosthesis, for e.g. cervico-trochanteric treatment, of femur, has femoral stem cooperating with medullary canal and neck of head and including body with length adapted for occupying diaphyseal support

The prosthesis has a femoral stem (10) equipped with a prosthetic head (12) and including a straight body (16) having length adapted for occupying a diaphyseal support. The stem includes a longitudinal groove (20) arranged in an angle of a section of the stem so as to form an edge (22). An end (32) of the neck has a thread (34), which exerts traction on the neck so as to withdraw the body of the stem. The body of the stem cooperates with a medullary canal of a femur and a support neck (18) of the prosthetic head. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a screw co-operating with a hole passing through a key slot of a hip prosthesis (2) an ancillary equipment for fixing the screw in the prosthesis.
