The device has a male socket (10) with gripping and protecting wings (20, 21) articulated on a protrusion (17) to occupy gripping and safety positions, where the protrusion is formed on a face of a cylindrical body of the male socket opposite to pins (13, 14) of the male socket. The wings are folded against a female socket (1) when the male socket is engaged in the female socket in the safety position. The wings partially close a space formed between the sockets in the safety position to make access difficult on an axial tab and a tab (15') of the sockets to act as a safety socket cover.
