The device has a pre-catalyst (20) arranged downstream of a turbocharger (2) and before a junction (26) of exhaust ducts (22, 25). A flexible tubular decoupling element (24) is arranged downstream of another turbocharger (3) and before the junction for compensating geometrical dispersions and differential thermal expansions of elements of the device. Mounting lugs are arranged upstream and downstream of the junction. The pre-catalyst is connected to a main catalyst (27) by the duct (22).
