The device (14) has a support piece placed behind a neck of marathon runner (10). Suspension unit (18) suspends an arm connected to each side end of the support piece. Fixing unit (20) is fixed to a fore-sleeve, wristband or hands of the runner for placing the arm in suspension in a folded position. The fixing unit has a sleeve (26) placed on the fore-sleeve, wristband or hands of the runner. The support piece and the unit form a continuous belt (22) that extends from the arm to another arm by passing behind the neck. The suspension unit and the support piece are made of same material.
