MOUSE MODEL FOR INDUCING HEPATOCELLULAR CARCINOMA BY INCORPORATION TARGETING TARGET OF HEPATITIS B VIRUS GENE

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mouse model for inducing hepatocellular carcinoma by incorporation targeting a target of a hepatitis B virus gene. PSOLUTION: There are provided a mouse model of hepatocellular carcinoma and an animal model formation method including following steps: (a) introducing an exogenous gene of interest into a suitable vector supporting a sequence homologous with the target part to form a recombinant targeting vector; (b) using the targeting vector from the step (a) to transfect the ES cells of the subject animal and screening the target ES cells incorporated with the exogenous gene at a specific part; (c) injecting the target ES cells obtained from the step (b) to the blastula of the animal and incubating the blastula in a test tube to produce embryo containing the target ES cells; and (d) transplanting the embryo produced from the step (c) to a uterus of the animal to produce progeny stably expressing the exogenous gene.
