PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eye part region detection program to quickly extract eye parts of a subject from image data of a photographed subject by using an image processing technology. PSOLUTION: Density values of an original image including a face of the subject is differentiated in the longitudinal direction, and a histogram of integration of the differentiation values in the lateral direction is produced. A region including the lateral line corresponding to a maximum or a local maxima of the histogram is cut out as a second longitudinal differentiation image. By dividing the second longitudinal differentiation image into right and left portions, a histogram of integration of the differentiation values in the longitudinal direction is produced for each of the left and right portions. While designating a region including the longitudinal line corresponding to a maximum or a local maximum of the histogram as a first/second region, portions corresponding to the first region and the second region are extracted from the original image as a left eye portion and a right eye portion of the subject.
