SILENCING MECHANISM FOR SILENCED PIANO

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencing mechanism for a silenced piano, which can restrain a noise caused by collision of a hammer 5 and by maintaining vibration absorption performance, and which can obtain favorable touch feeling closer to that of a usual acoustic piano, by shortening a let-off distance. PSOLUTION: The silencing mechanism for the silenced piano includes a stopper rail 1 capable of deterring a string from being hammered by a hammer 5 by a hammer shank 5a abutting thereon, in a silenced musical performance mode, and the stopper rail 1 has a rail body 1a extended laterally, a cushion 1b layered integrally in a surface side of the rail body 1a, on which the hammer shank 5a abuts, and a vibration damping material 1c layered integrally in a reverse face side of the rail body 1a.
