PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a fish body for drying, capable of performing the method of the preparation for drying in a good efficiency and also hygienically by holding the fish body as an upper-facing hanging down state (so called hanging in midair state), and gripping the head part by a hand and pulling it in the downward direction so as to peel skin off, without moving the fish body in the state of the hanging down.;SOLUTION: This method for preparing the fish body for drying comprises a partially cutting off process S1 of partially cutting off the neck part of the fish body F to make it a state that the head part F1 of the fish body is linked with a body part F3 by a non-cut neck part F2, a hanging down process S2 of making the cut surface F4 upper-facing and gripping the backbone B exposed from the cut off surface by a backbone-gripping device 1 to hold the fish body in an upper-facing hanging down state, and a preparation-for-drying processes S3, S4 of removing the head part, and skin, viscera, etc., connected thereto from the body meat F6 by gripping the head part of the fish body in the hanging down state by a hand and pulling it downward so as to peel the skin F5 off.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
