RECOMBINANT MEASLES VIRUS USEFUL AS BIVALENT VACCINE AGAINST MEASLES AND NIPAH VIRUS INFECTIOUS DISEASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vaccine safe and effective against nipah virus infectious diseases, and to provide a vector used for producing such a vaccine, further, to provide a bivalent vaccine exhibiting excellent prophylactic effects on measles and nipah virus infectious diseases and eliminated in troublesomeness in its inoculation as well.;SOLUTION: Such a recombinant measles virus that a measles virus genom is transferred with a gene encoding a protein involved in the onset prophylaxis of nipah virus infectious diseases is provided; wherein the protein is preferably a G-protein or F-protein as a membrane protein. Further, the bivalent vaccine against measles and nipah virus infectious diseases, including the recombinant measles virus, and an antiserum obtained from a body fluid taken from an animal infected with the recombinant measles virus, are also provided. Besides, in a production of a vaccine against nipah virus infectious diseases a method for producing the vaccine against nipah virus infections diseases using measles virus as a vaccine vector is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
