PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Pd/Fe2O3 nanoparticle which can give an FePd/Fe magnetic nanoparticle in which the formation of the coarsened part of Fe is suppressed, and individual particles are isolated by performing hydrogen reduction heat treatment, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide an FePd/Fe magnetic nanoparticle in which the formation of the coarsened part of Fe is suppressed, and individual particles are isolated.;SOLUTION: The core/shell type Pd/Fe2O3b nanoparticle is composed of a Pd core phase and an Fe2O3 shell phase in which a core/shell structure can be confirmed by evaluation according to at least one element analysis by a TEM image, a HAADF image or an EDX (Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectrometer), and in which the average Pd compositional ratio obtained by EDX is ≤50 atm%. The production method uses the core/shell type Pd/Fe2O3 nanoparticle.
