PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and highly precisely determine polymorphism contained in the MTHFR gene. PSOLUTION: A probe set for determining a polymorphism in the MTHFR gene includes a set of a polynucleotide having a specific base sequence and a polynucleotide having a specific base sequence. In the probe set for determining the polymorphism, the polynucleotide having the specific base sequence can hybridize with a DNA fragment containing the No.677 base in the MTHFR gene, wherein the No.677 base is wild type cytosine, and the polynucleotide having the specific base sequence can hybridize with a DNA fragment containing the No.677 base in the MTHFR gene, and wherein the No.677 base is a thymine variant.
