PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide cost of an equity research section providing services to a client of the equity research section.;SOLUTION: The first technique includes generally an estimation of a time spent by each analyst of the section providing the services to the client over an assigned period. Then, the time spent for providing the services to the client may be regulated based on a compensation of an analysis provider of providing the services to the client (or a plurality of providers). Compensation-weighted times of the respective analysis providers of providing the services to the client are totalized thereafter, to obtain thereby estimated values of the time and the cost of providing the services to the client. The second technique estimates a standard cost per a unit in client contacts of various types brought by the equity research section, and then determines the number and a type of each client contact received by the predetermined client over a given period (three months, one year or the like). Those are multiplied with the standard cost per each contact of the respective different contact types, to obtain total cost of providing the services to the client over the period.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
