COMBUSTION-DELAYING INCENSE STICK FOR SMOLDERING AND COMBUSTION-DELAYING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion-delaying incense stick body for smoldering, which does not go out during smoldering, enables easy and secure control of combustion speed and is excellent in ignition and combustion sustainability, and a combustion-delaying method thereof.;SOLUTION: The combustion-delaying incense stick contains, in the incense stick body, 1-20 mass% substance other than plant fibers, which has a boiling point or a pyrolysis temperature range totally or partially falling within the range of 330-580°C under 760 mmHg in air atmosphere, thereby delaying its combustion speed during smoldering, due to latent heat of vaporization, pyrolysis or vaporization accompanying pyrolysis of the substance. The combustion speed can be controlled depending on proportion of the substance contained. For example, the combustion speed of the incense stick that contains such the substance can be controlled to 57-92% of that of an incense stick having the same cross section but does not contain such the substance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
