PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for synthesizing a nanoparticle by circulation type supercritical hydrothermal synthesis. PSOLUTION: A supercritical hydrothermal synthesis method includes the steps of: using a metal salt aqueous solution, which generates an acid in a reaction field after the nanoparticle is synthesized, as a raw material; and supplying an alkali aqueous solution to the reaction field to control the pH of the reaction field and control the particle size of the fine particle to be synthesized when the supercritical hydrothermal synthesis is started; and a two-stage mixing step of directly mixing the alkali aqueous solution with high temperature-high pressure water at normal temperature, when the alkali aqueous solution is supplied to the reaction field, without mixing the alkali aqueous solution with the metal salt aqueous solution and then mixing the alkali-containing high temperature-high pressure water with the metal salt aqueous solution or a single-stage mixing step of mixing the high temperature-high pressure water, an alkali and the metal salt aqueous solution simultaneously in a single stage.
