PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To encourage a driver to achieve improvement in shift mode state selecting operation and improvement in knowledge and consciousness of fuel saving driving.;SOLUTION: A shift mode state determination part 11b1 determines whether a shift mode state of a vehicle 1a satisfies a predetermined condition or not. A traveling distance integration part 11c integrates optimum shift mode state selecting travel distances when it is determined that the shift mode state satisfies the predetermined condition. The traveling distance integration part 11c integrates inadequate shift mode state selecting travel distances when it is determined that the shift mode state does not satisfy the predetermined condition. A fuel saving drive scoring part 12 scores driving operation of a driver based on respective integration values integrated by the traveling distance integration part 11c. According to a score result, a fuel saving drive advice generation part 13 gives the driver a fuel saving drive advice along with the score result. Therefore, the driver is encouraged to select an optimum shift mode excellent in fuel consumption and to improve knowledge and consciousness of fuel saving driving.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
