PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion exchange resin which is excellent in removability of a suspension metal corrosive product including a clad and colloidal fine particle, from which the elution amount of turbidity components is small and which has a large mechanical strength.;SOLUTION: In the macroporous type ion exchange resin, the pore volume when measured by the mercury porosimetry is 0.5 mL/g per dry weight of 1 g of the ion exchange resin or more, the pore radius when measured by the mercury porosimetry is 0.1 μm or more and the turbidity component eluted by the shaking turbidity test of the ion exchange resin is 45 ppm or less.
