PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface coated cemented carbide cutting tool with a diamond-like carbon coat of a plasma CVD film forming exerting excellent abrasion resistance.;SOLUTION: This surface coated cemented carbide cutting tool is (a) constituted by depositing the diamond-like carbon coat having hydrogen contents: 10 to 15 atomic%, hardness: 25 to 35 GPa, surface roughness (R): less than 30 nm and average layer thickness: 0.6 to 1.5 m in a magnetic field by plasma CVD on a surface of a cemented carbide base body constituted of tungsten carbide group cemented carbide, (b) through a high-purity diamond type carbon thin film spatter deposited in a magnetic field and having average layer thickness 0.005 to 0.2 m and purity 99.9 wt.%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
