PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon nanofiber-phenol resin composite material capable of improving characteristics such as electrical conductivity.;SOLUTION: The carbon nanofiber-phenol resin composite material takes a form wherein carbon nanofibers are dispersed in a spherical particle of a phenol resin and some of the carbon nanofibers protrude out of the surface of the spherical particle. The composite material can be obtained by mixing phenols and aldehydes with the carbon nanofibers and a dispersant and subjecting them to addition condensation reaction in the presence of a reaction catalyst.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
