Genes whose expression is upregulated in blood cells of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus and uses thereof

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means useful for the diagnosis and treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus and a means for improving the accuracy of the diagnosis and treatment of the systemic lupus erythematosus. PSOLUTION: A method for diagnosing the systemic lupus erythematosus is characterized by analyzing a nucleic acid molecule group containing each of the nucleotide sequences of a plurality of genes selected from the groups of genes specifically expressed in cells presenting in the peripheral blood of a subject having the systemic lupus erythematosus, or the nucleotide sequence having each of its partial sequences or their complementary sequences; an antibody group containing the antibodies specifically binding to translated materials of the plurality of genes selected from the groups of genes expressed specifically in the cells presenting in the peripheral blood of the subject having the systemic lupus erythematosus; and a gene group specifically expressed in the cells presenting in the peripheral blood of the subject having the systemic lupus erythematosus. The method for diagnosing the systemic lupus erythematosus, the method for identifying its treating agent and the method for preparing data for a testing standard are also provided.
