PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combination production method for paraxylene and metaxylene capable of being put on the market from a hydrocarbon feed raw material.;SOLUTION: In the combination production method for paraxylene and metaxylene from the hydrocarbon feed raw material including two separation processes, the first separation process is performed in a counterflow false moving bed within a first chromatographic column including a plurality of beds, and an extract, a first raffinate and a second raffinate are drawn out of the column. The extract is distilled to obtain paraxylene and the second raffinate, from which a desorbing agent is removed by distillation, is injected in a second chromatographic column in the second separation process, and an extract and a raffinate are drawn out of the column and a flow rich in metaxylene among them is distilled to obtain metaxylene with a purity of 99%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
