PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve sure joining with an upper structural skeleton (a footing, etc.) by easily positioning a fixing steel reinforcement in an existing pile of a standard specification.;SOLUTION: (1) Fixing steel reinforcements 8, 8 are positioned to have a circular-shape along a circle 7 of a diameter D3 of an upper face 2 of a ring-like plate 1 having an inner diameter D2 and an outer diameter D1, and are fixed by welding to construct a joining unit 10. D3 is conformed to a thickness center-to-center diameter D03 of the thickness of a steel pipe 16. (2) The existing pile 12 is positioned with the pile head part being exposed on the ground. The existing pile 12 is a steel pipe reinforced concrete pile in which the steel pipe 16 is arranged as the outer shell of a concrete 17 and a pile end steel plate 13 having an outer diameter D01 (D1) and an inner diameter D02 (D1) is attached. (3) The ring-like plate 1 of the joining unit 10 is placed on an upper face 14 of the pile end steel plate 13. An inner peripheral edge 4 of the ring-like plate 1 and the upper face 14 of the pile end steel plate 3 are welded together, and if needed, the side of an outer peripheral edge 15 of the pile end steel plate 13 is also welded to fix the existing pile 12 and the fixing steel reinforcements 8, 8 in an integrating manner to construct a pile head structure 18.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
