PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple rainfall prediction system capable of predicting a change of the rainfall intensity with time within allowable accuracy based on a rainfall intensity measured value by a rain gage or the like unlinked to a meteorological radar.;SOLUTION: The predicted value for the total rainfall amount is calculated repeatedly by changing parameters based on a past rainfall intensity measured value, by using a predicted rainfall pattern wherein parameters Tmax, Rmax for specifying the characteristic of the rainfall pattern are set temporarily, and parameters by which the calculated predicted value for the total rainfall amount agrees with the measured value of the past rainfall amount within a set range are determined, and the change the rainfall intensity with time after the present time is predicted based on a present rainfall intensity measured value by using the predicted rainfall pattern specified by the determined parameters.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
