PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marker composition which is more effective in a new diagnosis on gastritis, atrophic gastritis, or a gastric cancer, a diagnosis method for gastritis, atrophic gastritis, or gastric cancer, and a determination method or an identification method on the seriousness of the gastritis, the presence or the absence of the atrophic gastritis, and the risk of gastric cancer.;SOLUTION: The concentration of ghrelin in the blood of a subject is measured and compared with a normal value. After the removal of helicobacter pylori, the concentration of ghrelin in the blood of the subject is monitored for over several months.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
