PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vital sign measuring system and a vital sign measuring method which enable communication with an object person having difficulty in communication by using a sensor device, acquiring vital sign information such as an electrocardiogram, bloodstream, a blood pressure, and an electromyogram in combination with information of an electroencephalography and a magnetoencephalogram or the like, and a fuzzy learning vector quantization method (FLVQ) for a communicating means. PSOLUTION: The vital sign measuring system is constituted of a subject 1, the electroencephalography 2 for measuring an electroencephalogram (6 channels) of the subject 1, a stromuhr 3 for measuring the bloodstream (1 channel) of the subject 1, an electrocardiograph 4 for measuring the electrocardiogram (1 channel) of the subject 1, a connector part 5 for gathering signals of each channel, an A/D converting part 7 for converting each signal (an analog signal) 6 output from the connector part 5 into a digital signal, a personal computer PC 9 for computing the digital signals 8 converted by the A/D converting part 7, and a display part 10 for displaying the result of the computation.
