PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for the payment of a medical insurance coinsurance amount that can defer payment without requesting a signature or an entry of a personal identification number. PSOLUTION: The system comprises an advancement institution 10 which advances a medical insurance coinsurance payment charged to an insured person 30 by a medical institution 20, a DB 11 in which participants in the advancement service are registered, and the medical institution 20 which inquires qualification information on the insured person 30 from an insurer 60 according to identification information on the insured person 30 read in from an IC card 31 with the identification information recorded with an IC card reader/writer 22 for reading in identification information, checks whether the insured person is registered as a participant in the service or not, and according to the check results, charges the advance of the medical insurance coinsurance payment charged to the insured person 30.
