PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution method imparting little burden to both a distribution service provider and a content user, and allowing the content user to use as many as possible contents at low cost.;SOLUTION: This content distribution service system includes a terminal device 1, a portal server 3, a content DB 4, a content delivery server 5, a cabinet management server 6, and a charging server 7. The cabinet management server 6 manages a content storage state and a content use limit of the terminal device 1. The portal server 3 and the cabinet management server 6 cooperate to generate the content use limit in each the terminal device 1, and directs distribution of the content to the content delivery server 5 according to a content distribution request from the terminal device 1.
