PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for separating impurities with a high speed rotation roller for opening a fiber material such as cotton in a spinning-preparing process, having a simple structure and capable of saving a space. ;SOLUTION: Feed rollers 16a, 16b and an optical sensor 19 for detecting impurities are attached to places near to the needle fabric surface 17a of an opening roller 17, and the optical sensor 19 is cooperated with an impurity- separating device 23. A blown air flow is charged on the needle fabric surface 17a to peel off a fiber material containing impurities.
