Use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs by inhalation to treat acute and chronic bronchitis. The present invention claims the use of non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs, and in particular nebuliser-administered plant acetylsalicylate, to treat non-asthmatic bronchitis, namely acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis, emphysema and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
