ABSTRACT This invention relates to cost-effective biodegradable and biocompatible ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA)/thermoplastic starch (TPS) blend nanocomposites wherein these nanocomposites of the present invention have improved mechanical and biodegradable properties. The present invention also relates to a process for preparing these nanocomposites by melt intercalation.
